1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

30 hours per week (8.30am – 12.00/ 1.00-3.30pm)

1 hour lunch break unpaid.

We are looking for a keen practitioner who can work independently and take initiative while developing purposeful, strong relationships with children, staff and parents.

In particular the successful candidate will have had successful experience of:

  • Delivering interventions and supporting pupils with Speech, language and communication needs.
  • Support social communication skills alongside his peer group including play skills.
  • Develop the pupil’s attention and listening skills alongside their impulsivity and awareness of safety.
  • Delivering a differentiated, personalised curriculum that meets the learning needs of the pupil including phonics.
  • Interventions that support emotional regulation e.g. Zones of Regulation, ELSA.
  • Supporting pupils with sensory processing needs.

1:1 SEN Lunch break supervisor

6 hours 15 minutes mins per week: 11.55am – 1.10pm

Start date: 12th April 2021 until the pupil leaves school when the role will cease.

There is a vacancy for a 1:1 SEN A lunchbreak supervisor to join our friendly, hardworking team. The Y4 pupil requiring support has a bespoke and personalised curriculum in a learning space of his own. He has a diagnosis of ADHD and ASD. You will be required to support him at lunchtime to collect his lunch, eat and then engage in play activities. This might be in the playground or indoors during wet weather. The successful candidate must have a good sense of humour and will enjoy working and interacting with young children. They must have a positive, calm and caring approach.

You will be required to set up the dining room, assist children in the dining room and supervise them in the playground or indoors during wet weather.
