Hello and welcome to Phoenix Class!

This term our topic question is ‘Why is Warmley wonderful?’. We will be exploring our local area and thinking about where we live. In Phoenix class we endeavour to try our best and always aim high to reach our potential. This year, we will continue to build our independence and work towards becoming more inquisitive learners. Watch this space for updates of all the exciting learning we will be engaging in!

Term 2 – What makes a healthy superhero?

Term 2 – Science

Year 2 spent time outside spotting signs of seasonal change. We examined different leaves to see how many different types of trees we had locally and what has happened to the leaves as the seasons change.

Maths

We love practical maths in year 2! This hands on approach helps us to embed our learning as well as having lots of fun!

‘Warmley Wonderful’

Phoenix class out in the community spotting things that make ‘Warmley Wonderful’.

Bakery Visit

An exciting Visit to our local bakery as part of our Wonderful Warmley topic. The children ordered their own treat and paid for it by themselves, checking they had the right money. Phoenix class demonstrated exceptional manners and especially enjoyed sampling their treat when we stopped for a snack before heading back to school.
