Their aim is to provide a welcoming, enjoyable, fun and safe place where the children can come and play, relax, join in with activities and socialise with friends.

All of our staff are experienced in childcare, with most having a level 3 qualification. We are all DBS checked, qualified in paediatric first aid, and have the necessary safeguarding and child protection training.

The Zone will run every day from 3.15-6pm. We offer 2 different sessions with the option to have tea included at an extra cost.

3.15pm – 5pm £7.00
3.15pm – 6pm £9.00
Tea – £1.50

We ask that all children be collected promptly at the end of their session, and understand that parents/carers may occasionally be late to collect their child, but persistent lateness will be charged at £1 per minute.

We offer a wide range of toys/activities at the club to cater for every child’s individual needs. Some examples are:

  • Puzzles/games
  • Books
  • Construction
  •  Arts/crafts
  •  Cookery
  •  Outside play/forest skills
  • Dressing up
  • Small world play

We encourage all children to take part in planning activities and deciding what toys/equipment they would like to have at the club.

All children will be offered a snack when they arrive at ‘The Zone’, this will consist of a selection of fruit, biscuits/crackers etc.
Water and squash will be available throughout the session.

We provide a light tea at an additional cost, some examples are: Beans on toast, pasta, hotdogs etc.

Booking a place at ‘The Zone’

A one off non-refundable booking fee of £10 per child will need to be paid on registration to secure a child’s place at the club.
Sessions are to be booked termly, and paid in advance of childcare.

A terms notice will need to be given to reduce sessions or cancel a child’s place.

We will do our best to cater for emergency ‘on the day’ bookings, but this will depend on whether we have a space and therefore cannot be guaranteed, all emergency bookings must be paid prior to the child attending the club.

Any parent/carer who wishes to use this service without booking a permanent place must pay the booking fee to register their child on our system.

Once a place has been requested and the booking fee paid, we will require all forms to be completed prior to a child starting at the club.
