Our Values: Ambition, Compassion and Resilience
Our Vision: Let Your Light Shine - Matthew 5:16
Geography
As Geographers in St Barnabas we will develop a greater understanding of our world and our place in it. We will utilise our local area of Warmley and our locality to the River Avon to equip pupils with geographical skills which they can practice and master through fieldwork and investigations. Through making enquiries about their local area children can develop a sense of who they are, their heritage and what makes our local area unique and special.
The curriculum is designed to ensure that teaching equips pupils with knowledge about diverse places, people, resources and natural and human environments, together with a deep understanding of the Earth’s key physical and human processes. As pupils progress through the school, their growing knowledge about the world helps them to deepen their understanding of the interaction between physical and human processes and of the formation and use of landscapes and environments.
Children will be inspired to develop a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people which will remain with them for the rest of their lives, equipping them well for further education and beyond.
