Our Vision: Let Your Light Shine - Matthew 5:16

PTA Welcome

Now we hesitate to use the word superhero’s but then thought why not? We are a group of volunteers who work really, really hard to raise vital funds for our children’s school.

Since the current PTA has been in place, we have successfully raised around £25,000 and the school has used this money towards the purchase of school laptops, an outside classroom in the forest area, the shelter that can be seen in the playground, play equipment and the MUGA (multi use games area). Most recently monies raised by the PTA have been used to gift all the year 6 children with a leavers book before they move on from St Barnabas.

Summer fairs, Christmas fairs, Children’s discos, Quiz evenings and Secret shopping days are just some of the events we organise each year alongside smaller fundraising activities such as old clothes donations, 5p collection challenges, bake offs and ice lolly sells!

As a parent with a child at St Barnabas you automatically qualify for this PTA ‘superhero’ club but it’s up to you how much you would like to be involved.

We always need volunteers to help with events and we’d love to welcome new committee members as well as those who can help with the planning of events behind the scenes!

We are also always on the look out for new ideas and suggestions so if you have seen a successful fundraising activity being done elsewhere please let us know.

There are also a number of companies who offer ‘Matched funding’ by which they match any money we raise at events. In the past we have gained an additional £1500 per year doing this so if you think your employer may be part of this scheme please let us know.

Please like our Facebook Page (St Barnabas PTA) to see all the latest PTA news and message the committee members.

Thank you all for your continued support.
